Professor Annalu Waller, OBE, a chartered rehabilitation engineer and Professor of Human Communication Technologies at the University of Dundee, has dedicated her career to developing innovative AAC systems that empower individuals with complex communication needs. With over 30 years of experience in human-computer interaction, assistive technology, and inclusive education, she brings a wealth of knowledge on how technology can enhance communication and independence. She was awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by the Queen of England in recognition of her contributions to the field. 

This is a great opportunity for students, faculty, and professionals across disciplines to learn about groundbreaking research in AAC, human-centered design, and accessibility. 

Dr. Waller will be presenting via Zoom and this event will be set up as an interactive Zoom classroom meeting that will blend virtual and in-person attendees. Lunch will be provided for those who attend in-person.
