Chemical and Biomedical Engineering

Congratulations to Ka Keung Chan for his success at the 2020 American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Meeting

Phd student

Congratulations to Ka Keung Chan, a PhD student in the department of chemistry, who won the third place in an international competition at the Carbon Nanomaterials Graduate Student Award (GSA) session within the Nanoscale Science and Engineering Forum (NSEF) of the 2020 American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Meeting. Ka Keung Chan presented a recently published work in Langmuir, titled “Carbohydrate- and Chain Length-Controlled Complexation of Carbon Nanotubes by Glycopolymers”. This is a collaborative work between Dr. Xue-Long Sun’ lab in the department of chemistry and Dr. Geyou Ao’s lab in the department of chemical and biomedical engineering.

The AIChE Annual Meeting is the premier educational forum for chemical engineers interested in innovation and professional growth covering wide range of topics relevant to cutting-edge research, new technologies, and emerging growth areas in chemical engineering. The GSA session honors graduate students whose research achievements, in the broad area of carbon nanomaterials, demonstrate a high level of excellence.
