Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

Research

Two major research fields in the department are: Controls, Robotics, and Automation and Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing research areas. Other research labs in the department include Nanobiotechnology Laboratory. Professor Siu-Tung Yau focuses on electrochemical devices for ultrasensitive detection and renewable energy applications such as Ultrasensitive biosensing (the enzymatic field-effect transistor), Nanoparticle-based (enzymeless) sensors and Supercapacitors. This lab’s research is supported by Ohio Development Services Agency.
