CS Ph.D. Student Temitope Adeniyi Named to UNESCO Quantum 100

Cleveland State University Computer Science Ph.D. student Temitope Adeniyi has been recognized as a member of the UNESCO Quantum 100, a global list celebrating a new generation of scientists helping shape the future of quantum technology.

Adeniyi’s research brings together quantum computing and artificial intelligence, with a focus on applying advanced technologies to areas such as healthcare, sensing and data-driven decision-making. Members of the Quantum 100 were selected by the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology steering committee and global coordination bureau, which includes representatives from universities, research institutions, scientific societies, governments and industry.

In addition to her research, Adeniyi is an advocate for quantum education, mentorship and community development. She helped design and teach Cleveland State University’s first quantum machine learning course and has participated in outreach programs introducing high school students to quantum computing and artificial intelligence.

Adeniyi also supports research collaboration and talent development across Africa through her leadership with the Africa Quantum Consortium. Her work reflects a commitment to making emerging technologies more accessible, practical and inclusive.
