Please join me in congratulating our incredible IEEE student members who devastated the competition at last weekend's (April 2013) Region 2 Student Activities Conference! Competing with all the student branches that attended the conference they garnered four first places out of the eight that took place! As far as I know (and that goes back a number of years), no other school has never done that!

The eight competitions are:

• The MICROMOUSE Robotics Competition without Kit
• Student Paper Competitions
• Brown Bag Competition
• First Energy Project Showcase
• Ethics Competition
• T-Shirt Design
• Physics

The four in which they placed first are:

• First place in the MICROMOUSE Robotics Competition with Kit
• First place in the MICROMOUSE Robotics Competition without Kit
• First place in the Brown Bag Competition
• First place in the Physics competition
