Washkewicz College of Engineering Hosts Solar Sprint Car Race

On Wednesday, May 18, the Washkewicz College of Engineering hosted a Solar Sprint Car Race in Fenn Hall Plaza. Nearly 100 students from Westlake, North Olmsted and Brecksville High Schools, as well as Lake Middle School, particpated in the competition. Students toured Washkewicz College of Engineering labs before making their way to Fenn Hall Plaza to race their solar cars. The event gave students the opportunity to learn more about the field of engineering, apply their STEM skills and promote sustainable energy.
