Induction into the Order of the Engineer and the Pledge of the Computing Professional

The Hooding & Induction Ceremony marks the transition of our WCE students from academic study to professional practice. This celebratory event takes place on the morning of fall and spring University Commencement Dates. During this ceremony, we invite families and friends to celebrate the achievements of our graduates and emphasize the ethical responsibilities and societal impact of their chosen professions. Graduates will take solemn oaths that affirm their commitment to integrity, responsibility, and service to humanity.  

The morning ceremony includes the Hooding of WCE Master thesis students, honoring of departmental Valedictorians, proclamation of Oaths and pledges, signing of Certificates, presentation of rings and pins and brunch.  

Students receiving degrees from the Washkewicz College of Engineering are eligible to participate in the following Induction Activities:
