The Washkewicz College of Engineering has established four cost centers with services and equipment available to CSU personnel for teaching and research. The facilities are also available to external entities, such as companies, organizations and institutions.
The following describes the cost of using these facilities:
Machine Shop
The College has a fully-equipped machine shop operated by a full-time machinist. The cost of using this facility is $45.20 per hour of work by the machinist. This excludes any materials needed for the project. This price is applied to all users, regardless of the funding source, to comply with federal guidelines.
If an external entity uses the facility, there is an indirect cost added to the total direct cost. The indirect cost rate is 48.5% of the total direct cost (this is the federally-approved rate for CSU).

Polymer 3D Printing Lab
The College has established a 3D Printing Lab with six (6) Stratasys uPrint Plus printers, one Stratasys Fortus 250mc printer, and one Stratasys Objet 350 Connex3 printer.
The cost of using this facility is $13.55 per cubic inch of printed material. This price is applied to all users, regardless of the funding source, to comply with federal guidelines.
If an external entity uses the facility, there is an indirect cost added to the total direct cost. The indirect cost rate is 48.5% of the total direct cost (this is the federally-approved rate for CSU).

Electronic Printing Lab
The College has established an Electronic Printing Lab with two (2) Optomec Aerosol Jet 200 electronic printers.
The cost of using this facility is $324.48 per hour. This price is applied to all users, regardless of the funding source, to comply with federal guidelines.
If an external entity uses the facility, there is an indirect cost added to the total direct cost. The indirect cost rate is 48.5% of the total direct cost (this is the federally-approved rate for CSU).

Dan T. Moore MakerSpace
The MakerSpace is a lab that provides hands on fabrication equipment for working with metal, wood and plastic.
Collaboration Space: 3D printers, Universal and Epilog laser cutters, LPKF circuit mill, lots of meeting space
Metal Shop: Tormach CNC, Lathe, Milling machine, Tig & Mig Welders, Plasma cutter
The Samuel Austin Woodshop: Shopbot, Drill Press, Band Saw, Miter Saw, Spindle Sander, Joiner, and Planer
