CLEVELAND – The Cleveland State University Overwatch Academy team has capped off a perfect season in dramatic fashion, securing the NACE East 3 Conference Championship.

After dominating their conference with an undefeated regular season record, the squad faced their toughest test yet in the Grand Finals. The series began rough for the Vikings, who found themselves down 0-2 after dropping the first two maps. Facing elimination, the team rallied on map 3, shifting the momentum entirely.

Demonstrating incredible resilience, CSU dominated the remainder of the series, winning maps 3, 4, and 5 to complete a stunning reverse sweep and secure the 3-2 victory.

The championship roster features Sagan "Winter" Woolner, Gabby "ShamWow" Palmer, Collin "Twocan" Briggs, Jackson "Nebbyindabag" Ball, Cole "Alizu" Pochedley, Maddux "Svexx" Bryant, Gavin "crossnclover" Miller, and Lexi "doverra" Pewitt.

Reflecting on the win, the team credited their success to a "combination of team synergy, skill, and good vibes," which allowed them to work as a powerful unit toward their shared goal.
