CSU Esports Director Inspires Local Youth at Community Center
CLEVELAND – Cleveland State University's Director of Esports, PJ Farrell, recently took his expertise to the community, meeting with a group of young people interested in esports at the Fredrick Douglass Recreation Center.
The event was held in tandem with EsportScholar, an organization dedicated to connecting students with scholastic and competitive gaming opportunities.
Farrell spoke to the aspiring gamers about the rapidly growing world of collegiate esports. He provided valuable insights on key topics such as scholarship availability and which games are most prominent at the competitive level. Farrell also led a hands-on session, teaching the students the fundamentals of using a keyboard and mouse for high-level play.
This community outreach is part of an ongoing partnership. CSU Esports looks forward to hosting more students through EsportScholar over the next few months, helping to build pathways for local talent into the collegiate scene.
