CINCINNATI, Ohio – Cleveland State University’s Varsity Overwatch team traveled to the University of Cincinnati over the weekend of October 25th to compete in the Queen City Clash (QCC) tournament. The event, a major offline LAN tournament, draws competitive teams from across the region.

The Vikings entered the tournament as the 6th seed, which set them up for a tough opening match against the 2nd-seeded Illinois Wesleyan University. The team faced a difficult opponent and ultimately fell 0-3.

This loss moved CSU into the lower bracket of the double-elimination tournament, where they faced the host team, the University of Cincinnati. The Vikings put up a good fight in a close series but were eliminated after a 1-3 loss.

Despite the losses, the team spirit remained high. The players enjoyed a celebratory meal at BJ's Restaurant and were proud of the progress they have made so far this season. The experience gained from competing at a high-pressure LAN event will be invaluable as they look forward to their next conference.
