CLEVELAND – The competitive spirit of the CSU esports arena took on a festive new form during the week of Halloween, as the program hosted its official costume contest.

Varsity team members were invited to show off their creativity, with the winner set to receive a $25 Jersey Mike's gift card, a feature in the Viking GG Gazette, and, of course, candy.

After a week of impressive entries, the winner was crowned: Junior R. “CptJunior”.

Junior's costume, an original "Samurai Jedi" concept, was a clear standout due to its intricate, hand-made design. Described as a labor of love, the costume featured elegant plating on the pants and shoulder armor that Junior 3D printed and assembled himself, attaching the shoulder plates with velcro for a perfect fit.

The program extends a thanks to everyone who participated in the contest and shared in the holiday spirit. The team is already looking forward to next year's competition.
