CLEVELAND – Cleveland State University Esports is proud to spotlight Connor Maluk, a junior from Parma, Ohio, who exemplifies the drive and spirit of the program. Better known in-game as “Kamino,” Connor is a standout Controller for the Varsity Valorant team and a leader in the community.

While majoring in social studies education, Maluk consistently demonstrates an ability to perform under pressure. At the recent Ohio Collegiate Esports Conference (OCEC), he electrified his teammates by achieving a pivotal team ace in the second round of tournament play, showcasing his clutch-factor when it matters most.

Connor’s journey at CSU Esports is already defined by hard-earned victories and memorable moments. Among his most cherished achievements are leading the Valorant White squad to a NACE conference championship and earning the prestigious Valhalla Bound award. This coveted honor is voted on by fellow program members in recognition of an individual's positive impact and leadership within the CSU gaming community.

Outside of competition, Connor balances his time between gaming, fitness, anime, and the Star Wars universe. His diverse interests and approachable demeanor make him a positive influence both on and off the digital battlefield, inspiring teammates and classmates alike.
