CLEVELAND – The Cleveland State University Esports program added some heavy metal to its holiday festivities this year, holding an official ring ceremony to honor the Varsity Rocket League team.

The ceremony celebrated the squad's historic victory this past spring, where they secured the Division III NECC National Championship—the first national title in the program's history. The team took time during the event to relive the winning moment before receiving their commemorative jewelry.

The championship roster consists of captain Tymir "Ciprocate" Jones, Collin "Orb." Hall-Johnson, and Jacob "L0B0." Rivera.

The rings hold extra significance for the squad, as they were custom-designed by captain Tymir Jones himself to memorialize the achievement. With the jewelry now on their fingers, the program congratulated the trio once more and turned its sights toward a potential repeat performance in the upcoming season.
