Washkewicz Scholars Awards

This highly selective award is made possible by the generous support of Donald E. and Pamela Washkewicz. It is designed to cultivate the next generation of innovative leaders. Scholars receive a full tuition gap scholarship (which bridges the financial gap between academic/financial awards and current cost of tuition) and networking opportunities. Scholarship may be renewed annually for those who maintain eligibility. Approximately 25 students participate each year (including returnees). 

The deadline for incoming first year and transfer students for 2026-2027 has past. The application for 2027-2028 will become available in late Fall 2026.

Engineering First Year Awards

This is our most widely awarded scholarship to incoming first year and transfer students. Award amounts vary and can range from $1,000 – $3,000. This scholarship is eligible for renewal (up to four years) pending scholarship eligibility. To be considered for the Engineering First Year Award, you MUST complete a CSU undergraduate admissions application. Selection is based on students’ CSU admissions application materials; no additional application is required. Students are strongly encouraged to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), but it is not required. Engineering First Year Award notifications will be communicated to admitted students by mid-spring. Students who receive scholarship offers are notified via standard mail. We do not consider appeals for re-consideration, or scholarship offers from other institutions to make any adjustments.
