Dr. Zhang is currently an Associate Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department, Cleveland State University (CSU).  She obtained her Ph.D. from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, with a specialization in thermo-physics and fluids engineering.  Dr. Zhang's current research focus is on the fundamentals of fluid mechanics to address grand challenges in wind resilience of civil structures and wind turbine wake modeling. She had extensive working experience in top research labs in South Korea, Germany, and the U.S., which broadens her research vision and allows her to develop a global perspective and genuine appreciation of diverse views, cultures, and backgrounds.
