America's Cutting Edge (ACE)

America's Cutting Edge logo

Training for the CNC machinery is offered via the ACE Program (America’s Cutting Edge). This free program is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy as a means to grow the defense industrial base required workforce – specifically in precision machining. ACE is a roughly 40-hour course with 8 hours of self-paced online introduction and 32 hours of in-class and on-machine learning. Completion of the ACE Program will not make one a master machinist, but it will introduce the fundamentals of CNC machining and highlight the career opportunities in this vial sector.
