All current undergraduate students in the College of Engineering are invited to apply for these awards, unless otherwise noted.

Round 2 Scholarship Applications are currently Open for Academic Year 2022-2023

Round 2 Awards Pending Available Funds

A single application will allow you to be considered for all of the following scholarships:

John and Joan Bardou Endowment - Award up to $1750, annual. 

William F. Bland Endowment - Award up to $1500, annual. Demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to a rising sophomore who intends to participate in Co-Op or similar program. 

Albert T. Branham Scholarship – Award up to $1500, annual. Minority applicants preferred. 

Anthony Colnar Endowment – Award up to $5000, annual. Demonstrated financial need. 

Dr. Bart DiLiddo Engineering Scholarship Endowment –  Undergraduate. Good academic standing. Award up to $4000, annual. Renewable. Demonstrate financial need. 

Gary Kader Endowed Scholarship – Award up to $1000, annual. Designed for students who are making satisfactory academic progress, may be renewable.  

Theo and Sandra Keith Endowed Scholarship Funds – Award up to $ 1200, annual. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to women from underrepresented populations.  

Eugene and Frances Klingshirn Scholarship – Sophomore-Seniors only. Award up to $1750, annual. 

David D. and Lois E. McFarland Endowed Scholarship – Award up to $1400, annual. Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA, first generation college student. Demonstrated financial need. Preference given to female and underrepresented groups in engineering as well as participating in the Co-Op program.  

Charles and Patricia Mintz Endowed Scholarship – Award up to $1800, annual. Junior or Senior-level student. Preference given to CMSD graduate or sponsored charter school. 

Om Julka Endowment – Award up to $3750, annual. Preference given to Cleveland Metropolitan School district graduates. 

Dr. William A. Patterson Endowed Scholarship – Award up to $2000, annual. Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA.  

Michael David Pollock Scholarship –  Graduated from a Fenn Academy partner High School; Freshman= ACT score of 24, Upper-class students = GPA of 3.0; Current or former member of Boy Scouts of America. 2 reference letters are needed from a teacher, school administrator, or professor speaking to students’ academic and leadership abilities. 

Felicia Peters Pollock Scholarship – Graduated from a Fenn Academy partner High School; Freshman= ACT score of 24, Upper-class students = GPA of 3.0; Current or former member of Girl Scouts of America. 2 reference letters needed from a teacher, school administrator, or professor speaking on students’ academic and leadership abilities. 

Ray E. Saccany Endowment – Award up to $1000, annual. Must have a 3.5 or higher GPA.  Preference given to varsity athletics. 

Lela M. Schier Endowed Scholarship in Engineering – Award up to $1200, annual. Must have a 3.3 or higher GPA.  

Richard R. Schier Endowed Scholarship in Engineering - Award up to $3000, annual. Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA.  

Byron and Dreama Smith Endowed Scholarship – Award up to $2000, annual. Junior status. Letter of recommendation required from faculty member. Preference given to students who have been involved with student organizations and/or student government. Award renewable for Senior year if awardee remains in good academic standing. 

Terrence V. and Mary K. Zuk Endowment – Award up to $1500, annual. Preference given to varsity soccer or softball player.

Also, the specific application must be completed to be considered for each of the following scholarships. 

General Electric Scholars (in collaboration with College of Sciences and Health Professions)

  • Currently enrolled full time undergraduate student (rising Sophomore, junior, or senior standing)
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Submit and essay on the topic " How do you plan to use your STEM education at Cleveland State University to improve the human condition, locally, nationally, and/or globally?"
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are MC2STEM High School graduates and are majoring in a STEM program at CSU
  • Students majoring in STEM programs from other Cleveland Metropolitan School Districts high schools or who are MC2STEM graduates not in a STEM area are also encouraged to apply.
