​​​​​​​The NE Ohio region has been projected to become an industrial leader in flexible electronics technology and manufacturing. The area of flexible electronics covers electronic methods and products used to design, manufacture and market circuits and circuit-based devices, which do not rely on traditional rigid printed circuit boards. NE Ohio has many organizations participating actively in flexible electronics research, development/pilots and commercial activity. Areas in which the NE Ohio region has already had visibility include Liquid Crystal Films, Complex Flexible Circuits, and Roll-to-Roll Manufacturing.

The Electronic Printing Lab at CSU includes two Optomec Aerosol Jet 200 printers. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
