Intelligent Wireless Communications and Networking Research

Wireless communications illustration

Cleveland State University (CSU) offers a high-quality research ecosystem dedicated to advancing communications, information theory, signal processing, and networking across diverse and challenging environments. Our faculty and scholars lead the development of transformative solutions spanning the electromagnetic and acoustic spectra, including terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks, underwater acoustic and optical communications, and secure quantum information frameworks. Leveraging software-defined radio (SDR) and advanced intelligent solutions, our researchers translate complex theoretical models into resilient, real-world applications. This commitment to innovation ensures that CSU not only remains at the forefront of academic research but also addresses the critical requirements of the state of Ohio and beyond.

Quantum Computing Research

Quantum computing

Cleveland State University (CSU) is establishing its expertise in the exciting field of Quantum Computing in partnership with CSU T.E.C.H. Hub and CSforCLE. CSU researchers across four departments, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (ECE), Mathematics, Physics, and Information Systems, partner and collaborate with government and private industry, particularly Cleveland Clinic, to develop and deliver innovative engineering solutions in Quantum Computing and Quantum machine Learning as well as in Quantum Sensing and Quantum Error Correction, and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
