Mechanical Engineering

Welcome to the Mechanical Engineering Department at CSU

We thank you for visiting us. You may know that Mechanical Engineering is one of the most diverse and versatile engineering fields. Through studying objects and systems in motion, the field of mechanical engineering touches virtually every aspect of modern life, including the human body, a highly complex machine.

The graduates from CSU’s Mechanical Engineering programs possess the engineering skills that empower them to be successful in their careers of choice. You can be a mechanical engineer who can take a product from an idea to the marketplace, in such industries as robotics and automation, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, energy conversion, biotechnology, computers, and electronics, or you can launch a career in other fields, such as medicine, law, consulting, management, banking, and finance.

CSU’s Mechanical Engineering B.S. (ABET Accredited), M.S. and Ph.D. programs enjoy the rich history of industrial supports from northeast Ohio companies like Parker-Hannifin, General Electric, and Philips Medical Systems, just to name a few. Our graduate students are engaged in cutting-edge research with our distinguished faculty in robotics, biomechanics, advanced manufacturing, and energy systems. Our faculty collectively bring years of research and industrial experiences as well as our commitment to graduating ready-to-go engineers.
