Undergraduate Studies

Cooperative Education Program

Students are strongly encouraged to participate in the engineering co-op program because of the many benefits it affords. Students must complete CSC 121 Career Orientation before they enter the program and register for ESC 300 or ESC 400 during each term of co-op. CSC 121 is scheduled during the second semester and co-op sessions usually begin after the second year of study is completed.
Some of the benefits of co-op include:

  • Students learn important work ethics while gaining professional experience
  • Students make connections between theory from the classroom and practice on the job
  • Students earn semi-professional wages to help pay the cost of education

Interested students should contact the Career Coordinator for Engineering:

 Julie Capuano
 Stilwell Hall 130A

The Fenn College of Engineering maintains an extensive Co-op website with a wealth of information regarding this program. Students are encouraged to visit this website and meet with Julie regarding their career interests and objectives.
