AIChE Meeting Minutes

Meeting Thursday, November 20, 2014

Hey everyone!

Thanks to those of you who came to the meeting today. For those who could not attend, here is a summary of the topics we covered: 

Chemical Cookie Jar Fundraiser

Dry ingredient cookie jars are now available for sale! These make great gifts for the holidays! Jars are $8 each and make great gifts for the holidays. Stop by the AIChE office in room FH 349 or send us an email if you would like to purchase any quantity. Cash or checks are accepted. Please see the flyer for additional details.

Monsters Game

Need a chance to unwind before finals week? Join us on December 5^th for the Lake Erie Monsters game! Tickets are available for $13 each and hotdogs are $1 all night. All engineering majors are welcome so if you know anyone know would like to join us, stop in at FH 349 before Tuesday November 25^th to purchase your ticket.

Social events

We got some great ideas from members about future social events. We are currently looking into a ski/snowboarding trip that could take place over winter break. If you have any additional input or interest in visiting Brandywine over break send us an email so we can keep you updated!

ChemE Car

Members expressed great interest in forming a team to get the ChemE Car started. If you are available over winter break, let one of the officers know or send us an email with your availability and we will set up a meeting.

STEM Recruitment Opportunity

Gregg Schoof in the ESEP office needs volunteers to visit local area schools to recruit students for the STEM program at CSU. This is a great way to promote the college of engineering. At the end of the day, we will join the kids at the Cavs game. Tickets for the game are $40. The official date is yet to be determined, but is tentatively scheduled for sometime in April, so please keep this opportunity in mind.
