About Biomechanics

Biomechanics is the study of mechanical principles that are applied to biological systems, focusing on forces and movements that influence the function of tissues, cells, and organs. The Center for Human-Machine Systems at Cleveland State University focuses on the study of human movement and control mechanisms, along with the interaction between humans and machines to enhance rehabilitation technologies. Biomechanics research aims to foster advancements between engineering and healthcare.
