About Food Safety


Food Safety at Cleveland State University focuses on reducing contamination by pathogens such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria during food processing. Food Safety includes research on the efficacy of sanitizers in pathogen control, pathogen cross-contamination dynamics in fresh produce wash and poultry processing, mathematical modeling, mechanisms of pathogen inactivation.
