ChBME's New Pilot-scale Distillation Column

 

A new pilot-scale distillation column was installed in the Lubrizol Chemical Engineering Lab in 2025.  This column is operated by undergraduate chemical engineering students in their unit operations laboratory course.  Funding from the State of Ohio RAPIDS program is gratefully acknowledged.

The University of Akron's Biomedical Engineering Research Day is an annual event that showcases the innovative research conducted by students and faculty within the Department of Biomedical Engineering from the University of Akron, along with other universities such as University of Toledo, Cleveland State University, Ohio State University, and the University of Chicago.


Three Minute Thesis

Graduate Students Compete in Three-Minute Thesis

Graduate students competed in the College of Graduate Studies Three-Minute Thesis competition on February 27, 2025.  A three-minute thesis (3MT) is the oral communication of a student’s research.  This competition allows students to summarize their research in three minutes using pre-determined guidelines to a panel of judges.
